Graduating from Glasgow School of Art was the start of a career that has come to encompass, set design, art direction and set decoration. The beginning of 2000 saw Gillian cutting her teeth in the competitive field of live television, and working within experienced art departments gave her the solid grounding to understand the various technicalities required to create both for the worlds of film and photography.

Subsequent successful years of  balancing the creative roles and managing the practicalities of tight deadlines, budgets and interpreting  clients briefs and scripts have seen her collaborate with a wide range of leading brands, publications and productions.

Inspired by literature, architecture, music and the creative possibilities of fictional characters married with the transformation of physical space , Gillian’s unique style of storytelling has produced captivating results for a range of creative industries.

In addition, her strong editorial style and attention to detail can be seen in various publications including, Italian Vogue, W magazine, i-D, and Another Magazine amongst others. Gillian has worked with luxury brands such as Oscar De La Renta, Anna Sui, Jaeger, Aquascutum, Dunhill and Bally. This combined with her involvement in the visual of ground breaking television such as  HBO’s award winning Game of Thrones has led to her being internationally respected by both of the worlds of fashion and film in equal measure.

Gillian’s innate ability to bring a narrative to life, to build environments both rich in detail and rigorously architectural in scope, are matched by a love of her craft- meaning theres always a story to be told.
